Donald G. Falconburg
A celebration of life and Military Honors for Vilas, CO resident, formerly longtime Wiley area resident, Donald G. Falconburg was held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the Peacock Family Chapel with Pastor Earl Heath of the Springfield Church of God officiating. A private family interment was held on Wednesday.
Visitation for Mr. Falconburg was held from 1 PM until 7 PM on Friday, August 1, 2014 at the Peacock Chapel.
Don was born on November 28, 1929 to Ira Jefferson and Carrie Edna (Work) Falconburg and passed away at his home on July 30, 2014 as the result of a microburst that hit his home in Vilas. Mr. Falconburg was 84 years of age.
He is preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings; Ralph “Buck”, Raymond, Dick “Rody”, Ira Jr., Jack, Lewis, and Harold “Doc” Falconburg and Virginia Brown and Helen Hollandsworth.
Don is survived by his wife Dorothy Falconburg of Vilas, Colorado, his daughters: Edna Neuhold of Vilas, Cheryl Porter of Springfield, CO, Marvin (Tracie) Falconburg of Brighton, CO, Rich (Cathy) Falconburg of Woodland Park, CO, Russ Falconburg of Vilas and Emily Neuhold of Westminster, CO. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren as well as his sister-in-law Lillie Falconburg of Yuma, Colorado. Numerous other relatives and a host of friends also survive.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the donor’s charity of choice in memory of Don either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
