A Mass of Christian Burial for lifetime Lamar resident, Delfina Arias was held at 10:00AM on Friday, January 8, 2016 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Carl Wertin as the celebrant. A rosary service was held prior to the mass at the church at 9:30AM with Theresa Weber reciting.
Per Delfina’s request there was no public visitation and cremation has taken place following the mass and her ashes will be interred at Riverside Cemetery at a later date.
Delfina was born on December 24, 1935 at Lamar, Colorado to Ramon and Antonia (Jara) Arias and passed away on January 3, 2016 at her home in Lamar at the age of 80.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Belen P. Orozco; Romona Arias and baby Richard Baca.
Delfina is survived by her siblings, Lupita (Lee) Adame of Springfield, CO; Alfred Jara and Richard Jara both of Lamar and Toni Jara (Pete Valdez) of Pueblo, CO as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
