Dave Snyder


A celebration of life for longtime McClave resident, David James Snyder, will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday April 28, 2018, at the Lamar Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Schneider of the Wiley Community Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Valley Cemetery in Hasty, Colorado.

Visitation for Dave will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Friday, April 27, 2018, at the Peacock Family Chapel in Lamar.

Dave was born on August 16, 1956, in Scott City, Kansas, to Ralph L. Snyder and Ruth Marie Nutsch-Snyder and departed this life unexpectedly on Monday, April 23, 2018, near Punkin Center, Colorado at the age of 61.

Dave was preceded in death by his father – Ralph Snyder; by one daughter – Leah Diane Snyder; and by one brother – Don Snyder.

Dave is survived by his wife – Rhonda Snyder of McClave; by two children – Isaac (Michelle) Snyder of Wiley and Rachel (Leon) Marks of McClave; by sixteen grandchildren; by his mother – Ruth (Frank) Deatrich of Louisburg, NC; and by four siblings – Dan (Patty) Snyder of Raleigh, NC; Melanie Hutchison of Luthersville, GA; Duane (Missy) Snyder of Frisco, TX; and Dean (Heather) Snyder of Cleveland, GA, as well as numerous other relatives and many friends.

The family respectfully requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Dave Snyder Memorial fund in care of the Peacock funeral home office.
