A gathering of family and friends of Frank McSwan took place at 10:00 AM on Saturday January 4, 2014 at the Peacock Family Chapel. Burial for Frank was held at 11:30 AM Saturday at the Veteran’s Section of Fairmount Cemetery with full military honors by the Lamar VFW Post # 3621.
Frank was born on October 31, 1936 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Daniel McSwan and Myrtle (Merchant) McSwan and departed this life on Tuesday December 31, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 77.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; by two grandchildren – Karis Wollert and Chris Braswell; and by two sisters – Sharilyn McSwan and Betty Abrell.
Frank McSwan is survived by his wife- Edie McSwan of Colorado Springs; by five children – Vicki Braswell of Wiley; Mike Braswell of Pampa, Texas; Kim (Damon) Kinter of Colorado Springs; Daniel (Rachel) McSwan of Dighton, KS; and Eric (Tanya) McSwan of Colorado Springs; by 24 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and by one sister – Joyce (John) Franke of Scottsdale, AZ; also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society either directly or through the funeral home office.
