A private family memorial service for Lamar resident Charles Ray Goebel will be held at a later date.
Per his request cremation will take place and there will be no visitation.
Charles Ray Goebel, affectionately known to many as Charlie or Chuck, was born on December 31, 1948 in Garrett, Indiana to Robert Goebel and Maxine Snyder-Goebel and departed this life on Wednesday December 5, 2018 in Lamar, CO at the age of 69.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and by his ex-mother-in-law – Opal Simpkins.
Charlie is survived by two sons – Charles “Chaz” (Joani Crawford) Goebel and Chris Oakley; by his former wife – Rita Osborne all of Lamar; by three grandchildren – Topanga Goebel of Lamar; Ivan Oakley and Caelan Oakley both of Arvada; and by his siblings – Dennis (Amy) Goebel; Cerinda Brinker; Mark Goebel; and Pam Woods all of Garrett, Indiana.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Charles Goebel memorial fund in care of the funeral home office.
