A funeral service for longtime McClave resident, Caryol J. Heckman, will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday June 18, 2015 at the First Presbyterian Church of Lamar.  Burial will follow in the Fairmount Cemetery in Lamar.  Pastor Rory Gillespie will officiate the service.

Per the family’s request there will no public visitation.

Caryol J. Heckman was born on September 13, 1939 in Lamar, Colorado to James V. Weatherred and Alice H. (Benedict) Weatherred and departed this life unexpectedly on Wednesday June 10, 2015 as a result of an automobile accident at the age of 75.

Caryol was preceded in death by her parents, by her first husband- A.D. White; by her brothers- Bob Weatherred and Duane Weatherred and an infant sister Anna Lee.

Caryol J. Heckman is survived by her husband - Fred Heckman of McClave; by three children – Burt (Laura) White-Heckman of McClave; Von (Isabel) Heckman of Colorado Springs, CO; and JoLeyne (Hans) Friederichs of Wiley; by eight grandchildren – Austin (Julie) Friederichs; Jake (Calie) Friederichs; Lange (Erin) White-Heckman; Chad (Breanna) White-Heckman; and Derek (Kalais) White-Heckman; Jillian Heckman; Garrett Heckman; and Ian Heckman; by three great grandchildren – Parker and Thade Friederichs and Emory Friederichs; by her sibling, Lois Venn of Ault, CO; as well as her sister-in-law - Jane Weatherred of Albuquerque, NM; as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church or to the Youth with a Mission fund either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
