A private family memorial service will be held at a later date for longtime Lamar resident, Bruce N. Allen.
Per Bruce’s request, cremation has taken place and there will be no public visitation.
Bruce N. Allen was born on August 5, 1941 in Denver, Colorado to Max Allen and Gladyola (Saunders) Allen and departed this life on Tuesday April 29, 2014 at his home in Lamar with his family by his side at the age of 72.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; and by two brothers-in-law – John Stevenson and Fred Stevenson.
Bruce Allen is survived by his wife of the family home in Lamar – Lorrie Allen; by four daughters – Debbie (Jeff) Wells of Wiley; Cheryl Miller of Lamar; Kim (Brian) Gonzales of Pueblo and Suzanne Allen also of Pueblo; by eighteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; by two brothers – Jack (Vangie) Allen of Englewood; CO; and Kent (Pam) Allen of Glendo, WY; and by one sister – Joan Lund of Littleton, CO; also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Lamar Area Hospice either directly or through the funeral home office.
