A Mass of Christian burial for longtime Lamar resident, Andrea Gomez will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the St. Francis de Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Reverend Mariusz Wirkowski as celebrant. A rosary service will be held prior to the mass at 9:30 AM at the church with Stan Ybarra reciting. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.
Visitation for Andrea will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 1:00PM until 5:00PM at the Peacock Family Chapel.
Andrea was born on February 4, 1952 at Sain Alto, Zacatecas, Mexico to Antonio and Maria Alaniz (Gomez) and passed away on July 27, 2016 at the age of 64.
She is preceded in death by her mother.
Andrea is survived by her husband, Pablo Hernandez of the family home in Lamar; five children, Manuel (Lorena) Hernandez of Mexico; Victor (San Juana) Hernandez of Kansas; Saul Hernandez of Kansas; Lucila (Luis) Manzano of Texas and Sebastian (Danni) Hernandez of Lamar and fourteen grandchildren. She is also survived by six siblings as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and many friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Andrea Gomez Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home office.
