My wonderful, sweet, loving mother, Alice “Joyce” Nelson (Coleman), entered into heaven on June 16, 2015 in Lamar, CO. She was 83 years old. Mama has joined her father; William Cortez Coleman, her mother; Alice “Dorothea” Coleman (Seals), her son, William Charles Nelson, and her brothers; William Ronald Coleman, Richard Douglas Coleman, and Larry James Coleman, and I know she is now at peace and full of God’s grace. Joyce was born in Holly, CO on December 17, 1931, and has spent her life, loving Jesus, her family and taking care of her family’s homestead in Coolidge, KS, where she resided until 2013. She is survived by her sister; Sandy Ann Sebold, her daughter; Alice “Diane” Reed, son-in-law; Andrew K. Reed, Jr., granddaughters; Lisa Vaughn, Kaitlyn E. Reed, Madison K. Reed, and Austin Diane Reed, grandsons; William Nelson, and Charles Nelson, great grandsons; Anthony Vaughn, and Tyler Nelson, and great granddaughter; Mackensie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful, caring staff that took care of Joyce “Mama”, who truly became her extended family for which we will be forever grateful.
