A private family memorial service for longtime southeast Colorado resident, Katie Yoder will be held at a later date.
Per Katie’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.
Katie was born on February 3, 1939 at Two Buttes, Colorado to William Ernest and Garnette Mae (George) Kilpatrick and passed away on March 6, 2018 at the Southeast Colorado Longterm Care Center in Springfield, Colorado at the age of 79.
She is preceded in death by her husband, John Yoder, son, Rex Lusk and an infant daughter; her parents, Reece A. and Garnette M. Nelson, her father, Ernest “Pat” Kilpatrick and her brother Jerry (Sandy) Kilpatrick.
Katie is survived by her daughter, Sandra Kay (Leonard) Lynn of Sylvester, GA; seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; her siblings, Frank (Sue) Kilpatrick of Lamar and Patsy (Dave) Griset of Colorado Springs, CO as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar Animal Shelter either direct or in care of the funeral home office.
Services are under the direction of the Peacock Family.
